There’s something extraordinary about experiencing this yearly tradition together–it’s something that everyone can look forward to year after year. Here are just a few places you can enjoy seeing Christmas lights in Franklin, Tennessee.
Franklin Festival of Lights
The Williamson County Agricultural Center hosts the longest drive through a 2022 holiday lights spectacular known as the FrankTown Festival of Lights. Take in the glory of more than 200 displays synchronized to holiday music you can listen to via your radio as you wind along the route that trails on for one and a half miles. The show takes place from November 18th through December 31st from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. located at 4215 Long Lane in Franklin, TN 37064. And what’s more is that on specific Wednesdays, known as “Walkin’ Wednesdays”, you can park your car and stroll along the lighted route, along with photo ops at the giant tree, and a chance to make your own s’mores over the fire pit. You can enjoy the walking route November 23rd, 30th, and December 7, 14th, and 28th, from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., and then the route opens at 7:00 p.m. for drive-thru activities.
All proceeds of the Franlink Festival of Lights go toward Franktown Open Hearts, a local non-profit ministry that enhances the lives of at-risk youth spiritually, emotionally, and physically through mentoring and teaching life skills with academic and tutoring services.
Tickets range from $30 for a passenger vehicle up to eight passengers, $50 for large passenger vehicles carrying more than eight passengers, $100 for commercial or charter vehicles, such as vans, buses, and limos, and a Jingle Bell Pass that gives you four passes for vehicles with up to 8 passengers that can be shared with friends and family, able to be used on the same night or varying nights. Donations are also accepted.
Franklin Holiday Lights Trolley Tour
Bundle up in your warmest clothes to venture out on a magical trolley ride where you relax and delight in an hour-and-a-half tour through many of the holiday wonders Franklin has to offer for the holidays. The 2022 seasonal routes may feature the Festival of Lights, based on availability, and this year’s newest routes may include Brentwood and Historic Downtown Franklin.
Go on your adventure from December 3rd-December 23rd on Saturday thru Sunday at 5:30 p.m. or 7 P.m., Wednesday thru Friday at 6:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Trolleys come in small sizes that seat 24 or large sizes that seat 30 passengers, and tickets are $30 per seat. Holiday snacks and treats will be available, along with complimentary bottled water, but you can also bring your personal-sized snacks and drinks.
